Each of us has unique characteristics that have nothing to do with weight or size but with the shape of our body, which is why there are no aesthetic canons or aesthetic concepts to canonize.
When we talk about Body Shape these characteristics materialize in 'lines' through which our body can be visualized in a figure on which it is possible to work through an analysis, known precisely as 'analysis of the figure'.
Be careful though: it's not about revolutionizing our style or our tastes, it's simply a useful expedient to provide new inspiration to our wardrobe or our new purchases.
«When a dress does not enhance us and does not correspond to our expectations,
we must understand that it is not the body that is wrong, but the dress»
(Rossella Migliaccio)
THE SHAPES
TRIANGLE
Also known as the pear shape, it is a figure characterized by more accentuated hips in proportion to the less pronounced upper body (shoulders and breasts). The goal is to emphasize the upper part to balance the lower one through shirts, sweaters and dresses with shoulder pads, ruffles, ruffles and balloon or puff sleeves. For the lower part we recommend high-waisted flared palazzo or flared trousers.

REVERSE TRIANGLE
Known as the apple shape, it is the exact opposite of the pear shape, with pronounced shoulders and breasts compared to a thinner, narrower bottom. Usually those who recognize themselves in this body shape have long and slender legs which is why the goal is to highlight the lower part with dresses or short skirts and adherent fabrics or models such as skinny and cigarette trousers. For the top, straight-cut shirts or outerwear, V-neck sweaters or dresses, as well as one-shoulder models are preferred.

RECTANGLE
It is a figure with few curves, very linear in which the top and bottom are balanced.
The main features are small breasts and slim pelvis.
It is interesting for this figure to choose structured clothes such as the suit with straight-cut trousers (skinny or cigarette) and A-line or bell-shaped dresses, sleeveless models and pleated dresses or skirts.

OVAL
Known as the diamond shape, it is a very homogeneous figure. The top and bottom are quite noticeable and the waist is not defined. Empire-style dresses are recommended, better if monochromatic or with less flashy patterns. For this body shape, accessories that contrast and create new focal points for the figure are essential. It is a camouflage technique that we will discuss in future articles.

HOURGLASS
From the Mediterranean charm is the figure of the proportions, shoulders and pelvis are in balance and the waist is defined, which is why we will aim to prefer dresses with a cut at the waist or accessories that enhance it such as belts, to be modeled both on little dresses shaped than on sweaters, cardigans and outerwear, in perfect harmony with one of the autumn-winter 2022/23 trends. We will also talk about this in future articles. For trousers lovers you certainly cannot give up flare trousers.

EIGHT
Lately a new figure has been recognized, termed the Eight, very similar to the Hourglass with well balanced top and bottom but with higher hips accentuating directly at the waist and with slimmer legs. Surely you can refer to the choice of key pieces to the indications of the Hourglass to which you need to add dresses with draped waist and high-waisted trousers.

Finally, there will be dresses or models that have the charm of being able to dress all the figures as protagonists or with expedients to adapt to one's body shape, both because they lend themselves well to camouflage techniques and because they are born as mouldable clothes, an example is our Camicione Jhola or our Ayunita Convertible Dress . But there are many others to which we will devote an entire article.
Inevitably, each of us has recognized ourselves in a form or is impatient to do so in front of a mirror, looking at our own body with new instruments.
"I'm not sturdy.. I'm a diamond!"
"I don't have big breasts...I'm an apple!"
And remember... an approach that aims to play with clothing is certainly one more way to love our image and to give us time, time for ourselves!
